Reflection of Assignment 3

Based on 10 words, I applied and interpreted my concept that is the transition of evolving form of objects or building by passing through the space-time(Fence) into environment. That is my thought that the environment could be transformed to regenerate a new thing by the dynamic cycle of transformation process. Therefore, my animation starts from melting the whole environment to regenerating the new structure or environment at the end.

Indeed, a city won’t be melted down in real world but buildings or community would be demolished and erected again to become a new building or a new community. A long period of time may be consumed and many different processes to be undertaken and finally regenerate a new built environment. We cannot observe every step in every second, but somehow we can observe the variation between the beginning and ending.

Reflection for Assignment 1 & 2

After the two assignments, I have achieved to interpret my concept that is the transition of evolving forms of object or building by passsing through the space-time(Fence).As "fence" is as transition point like air movement passing around, the structure and appearance of objects can be changed to another form with energetic intention.

I tried to model the building with the transition of evolving from the starting of many small boxes to transformed structure at the end. I was more likely to express that somehow the building is assembled by thousands piece of elements, then changed its normal shape and status to be abstract and energetic one.For instance, the solid shape has been changed as if melting to be liquid/fluid. Thus,I used the music with energetic feeling to apply into the transition of evolution.

I experienced using the lattices for my modelling ,its similar to depicting the basic form of structure. I even used twist, bend, and modified the polygons of the model in order to clearly interpret the transformation on the appearance of building.

Concept "Fence" in Architectural

My concept of “fence” is mainly focused on the transition of evolving forms is the basis of objects passing through the fence or spacial vantages.

this aspect of abstract design for the building would be designed with evolving appearance. Besides, the interior of the building could be applied this concept by designing different structure and material but stand on the cohesion between them. The expression of transition concept could throughout the building when people (as object) walk through from one area to other area.

My concept of "Fence"

What I am thinking of “Fence” as my concept, that is not just the general meaning like a boundaries or frame, it is a bit abstract. I think Fence could be a space-time transition or evolving point. In other words, an object pass through this point, its status and shape would be transited or evolved to much more forms and stages.

I am a student in Architectural Computing in UNSW. Before that I had studied in Interior Architecture for three years. I left from my country to Australia from four years ago. I enjoy the weather and lifestyle of Australia.I love travelling and photography, so I do always bring my digital camera to everywhere at anytime, snapshot for interesting things either people or objects….etc.I believe that whenever you seek,you would discover.

I do love “building” , create and design something by sketch and could be built it in digital technologies or physical model. I think that’s so powerful and foreseeable on what you are designing.
